Seeing Flamingo Birds

By Flamingo Lover | February 18, 2008

There is a new advertisement out for the Honda Accord.  Watch in the background and you will see a beautifully captured Flock Of Pink Flamingos Flying photo.  I am always thrilled when I get to spot new flamingo sightings in films, commercials or television series.

The most spectacular flamingo footage of course is in the Miami Vice show opening and closing. This show was popular in the 1980s. Looking back, that might have been the inspiration for my first flamingo purchase which was a flamingo shower curtain.

When the Miami Vice movie came out based on the original television series, I couldn’t wait to rent it just to see more glorious pink flamingos from Miami. Sadly, the producer didn’t see fit to include any.  Happily though, currently, you can still see Miami Vice and the flamingo footage on the Sleuth channel.

Be sure to watch “Roseanne” reruns to see her flamingo shower curtain.  I bought my first flamingo item which was a flamingo shower curtain. It was available at KMart (before there was a Walmart or Target). The print was Flamingoroad with tall fun pink flamingos on a backdrop of palm trees.

Recently spotted in the background of the old TV show “Saved By The Bell”, you will have to look quickly, but there is a pink flamingo in the opening theme.

Currently running is an advertisement for the TV show “My Name Is Earl”, which has him kicking a plastic pink flamingo when talking about karma. That surely has to bring bad karma to kick a plastic flamingo.
